Missions Ministry

At CrossLife, everyone is encouraged to live a missional lifestyle in obedience to Christ. We are actively engaged in missions by praying, going, sending, welcoming, and mobilizing. Our aim is to join Jesus in bringing God's truth and love to the nations.

Are you interested in participating in a missions trip or attending a missions-related conference? Please contact our missions committee for information on prayer support and financial assistance. Email questions to missions@crosslifecc.com .

If you are interested in learning more about our missions committee, please email missions@crosslifecc.com . We meet at 9 a.m. on the second Sunday of each month.

Taiwan

Every summer, a team ministers to the indigenous children of Taiwan through VBS and ministry to the elderly. Please see Ronald or Grace Yuan for details.  They can be reached at missions@crosslifecc.com.  Here is their recent report.

====================

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

        Our VBS has come to an end and by His Grace we were able to point the kids towards the Gospel! We are thankful that the local church will follow up on all 69 kids guiding them to grow in Christ. We sense our mission was accomplished! Jesus’ name was proclaimed to the kids in Hua-Lien, Taiwan! Thank you for your prayers as all of you are also part of the Taiwan Mission Team!

For His Glory,

Ronald and Grace

Lao Isaan People of Thailand -

our adopted unreached people group

The Haechton Family

Crosslife has adopted the largely unreached Lao Isaan people of Thailand as our primary focus for learning and prayer. Our Sunday School classes have a special emphasis on missions and have begun learning about this region (in the northeast of Thailand), its people, and its needs. The Haechton family, OMF missionaries serving in the Lao Isaan region, are our main partners in proclaiming the Gospel in this area.

Mexico

Every winter, a group of men from Power Ministry spend one, two, or three weeks in Mexico primarily engaged in building and renovation projects. Please see Paul Chang or Eric Farrow for details.  They can be reached at missions@crosslifecc.com.

Arizona

Every summer, a group from various churches serves on several Native American reservations in Arizona through VBS and other ministries. Please see Leonard Cheung for more information.  He can be reached at missions@crosslifecc.com.  Here is their recent report.

====================

It was a good missions trip. Tim and the Cheung family joined with about 20 people from FCBC Walnut and about 10 people from Emmanuel Chinese Baptist Church (Kansas City) to form the Kayenta Team. We stayed in Phoenix the first night before heading to Kayenta. One of our first opportunities to serve was the Sunday service - we provided the sermon, the music, and lunch. From Monday - Thursday, we provided VBS (In the Wild) at the community park during the morning and a soccer camp at the local high school field in the early evening. There was a good turn out for both the VBS and the sports camp. We were also able to spend one afternoon hiking with the some of the locals and another time we went to a flea market during the lunch hour. The whole team worked well together, the youth were focused and on-task when we counted on them, and the weather was decent (a bit windy, very dry, and hot).

Here's a youTube link of the week.
